Strawberry jam
Ingredients
- 1 pouch liquid Certo
- 4 cups or 800 g sugar
- about 1 qt strawberries, hulled
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 jars with lids
Instructions
- Mash strawberries in a large bowl.
- Stir 1 3/4 cups mashed strawberries with sugar until incorporated.
- Let sit for 20 minutes.
- Add the Certo and lemon juice, and stir vigorously for 3 minutes.
- Pour into jars using a funnel, leaving at least a half inch of room.
- Close jars with lids and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
Notes
- Use fresh picked strawberries when they’re in season.
- Store in the fridge up to a month or freeze for up to a year.
