This was similar to my Garter Rib Sock, except I worked in seed stitch instead of garter stitch between the knit columns. I used a German twisted cast-on and did the whole cuff in pattern. It’s fine, but in hindsight I would had started with 15 rounds of 2×2 rib because the seeded rib curls a tiny bit.
Almost every sock pattern I’ve seen calls for a thicker slip-stitched fabric (with heel stitch or Eye of Patridge) on the heel flap, but then goes back to stockinette when turning the heel. This never made sense to me since I get holes on the sole of the heel, not the back. So for these socks I decided to continue heel stitch while turning the heel – and it worked! I’m probably going to do this for all my socks going forward.
If you noticed the shape looks different than my previous socks, it’s because I wore them for a day before taking the picture, effectively blocking them.
