Insert the AeroPress plunger about 1/2 inch into the chamber and stand it on the counter.
Grind coffee with medium-fine coarseness and pour it in the chamber.
With the AeroPress on a scale, pour in 200 g boiling water and stir it a few times. Pour any leftover water into a cup to preheat it.
Let the coffee brew for at least 1 minute.
Empty the cup. Swirl the coffee, then screw on the cap with a filter paper. Carefully invert the AeroPress onto the cup and plunge with gentle pressure. Keep going past the hiss until fully plunged.
Notes
The longer you brew, the better, but you aren’t going to notice much difference past 2 or 3 minutes. In the morning, I like to leave it brewing while I make the rest of my breakfast.
You can make a bigger cup of coffee using the same ratio, but don’t fill the AeroPress too full or you’ll risk spilling it and burning your hands. Instead, dilute the coffee with the rest of the water at the end.
