Banana bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 very ripe bananas
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup chococlate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 ºF.
- In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, mash bananas with milk and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cut butter into sugar.
- Stir beaten eggs into large bowl.
- Stir banana mixture into large bowl.
- Stir flour mixture into large bowl.
- If using, stir in chocololate chips.
- Pour into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 70 minutes.
- Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.
Notes
- The riper the bananas, the better. The skins should be streaked with brown and black. Frozen bananas thawed in the microwave work great.
