Creamy pasta sauce

Makes about 4 or 5 servings.

  1. Heat oil and butter on medium and add onions, cooking until soft.
  2. Add garlic and pepper and cook a bit longer.
  3. Reduce heat to low and stir in tomato paste. Cook a few minutes longer.
  4. Add cream, then lemon juice, then parmesan, stirring until it all melts.
  5. Add reserved pasta water and salt to taste.
  6. Serve with penne and basil, or whatever you’d like.
