Shirt for Dad

After I finished my Linen Shirt, I made another one from the other curtain for my dad. I did size M instead of S and adjusted the sleeve length and hem. I also decided to do box pleats in the back instead of darts, and used light blue buttons instead of tan.

The other big difference was I made this one on my own sewing machine, the Bernette 38! Check out my blog post reviewing it.

Overall it went pretty well. A lot of my stitching looked better than on my previous shirts thanks to using a patchwork foot and edgestitching foot. I still made a bunch of mistakes, but I’m definitely getting better. As always the trickiest parts were the corners of the cuffs and the collar.
